Based in Shanghai, I was with a group of interns who provided application help to prospective Oxbridge Chinese applicants. This was held at two schools with a three-week programme in each. The roles included classwork teaching for aptitude tests, personal statement amendments and running mock interviews and interview skills workshops.

 

This was a great opportunity and thanks to the donor I was able to experience more of the Chinese culture. Without it, it would have been more difficult as the weekly allowance barely covered meals.

 

I have gained a lot from this internship and built confidence in my ability to work and live in a completely different environment. This has been an incredible experience and I thank all involved.
