About the Event

2 Fung Scholars, Alan Fung (FS11/12, the Chinese University of Hong Kong) and Anthea Chan (FS17/18, the University of Hong Kong)  and staffs across Fung Group came together to volunteer at the Redress Sortathon event on 22 Nov in Hong Kong, helping to sort clothes that were collected from across Hong Kong during Get Redressed Month in October.

Tonnes of clothing collected needed to be sorted according to quality and garment type, and the team spent four hours sorting clothes, determining whether they would be resold to raise funds for charity, donated to those in need, or downcycled for materials.

A huge thank you to Anthea (second one on the left) and Alan (on the right) helping reduce the amount of textiles going to landfill!
