MaD Festival 2019

Date: 12/01/2019 - 13/01/2019
Time: All Day

About the Event

Due to overwhelming response from our Fung Scholars who participated in the past 9 years’ Make a Difference activities organized by Make a Difference Institute, the Victor and William Fung Foundation is pleased to continue to support our Fung Scholars to next year’s MaD Festival to be held on 12 &13 Jan 2019. The Assembly will showcase the outcomes of the festival in Tai Kwun and bring together thousands of participants from Asia and beyond.

Six Winning Teams of Creative Industries Practitioners undertook immersive studies in cities/regions outside Hong Kong, explored synergies with like-minded partners and kickstarted their own innovative projects in Hong Kong with social, cultural and/or ecological impact. They will share their insights, learning and experience of the exchange and incubation projects at the pilot programmes and the Assembly of the MaD Festival.

The Assembly presents a wide variety of creative programmes, including keynote conversation, mini concert, open studio, exchange, ripple forum, cinema, free market, excursions and MORE …

The admission fee for a 2-day pass is HK$480 for a full-time student and $650 for an adult. Only a quota of 25 Fung Scholars is sponsored by The Victor and William Fung Foundation to attend the event for FREE. It will be on first come, first served basis. Fung Scholars are encouraged to attend the Pre-event Briefing on 7 Jan 2019 (Mon) at 7:00pm at our Lai Chi Kok office and are required to submit a write-up about your experience and learning within one week after the event. There’s a chance your sharing will be published on our FS website and in the FS newsletter.
