About the Event

The Fung Scholars Leadership Conference 2022 was successfully held on 8 Oct and 15 Oct  (Sat) from 8-10 PM (GMT+8).

The themes are Geopolitics — Global Trade in the Digital Era (Day 1) and Metaverse and Social Entrepreneurship (Day 2). The conference was virtually available to all Fung Scholars and Fung Fellows worldwide.

Dr. Victor Fung is the Chairman of Victor and William Fung Foundation. He is also the Group Chairman of the Fung Group, a Hong Kong-based multinational group which comprises major operating groups engaging in sourcing, logistics, distribution and retailing.

Ms. Pamela Mar

Managing Director, Digital Standards Initiative (DSI), International Chamber of Commerce

 

Prior to joining the DSI, Pamela was Executive Vice President for Supply Chain Futures, and then EVP for Knowledge and Applications for the Fung Group, a Hong Kong based multinational supply chain manager where she was also the first Group head of Sustainability. She was named one of Asia’s ten A-list sustainability leaders in 2019, and is a recognized industry leader in this area.

Business and thought leader Barbara Meynert has executive expertise across a broad range of sectors. She has enjoyed an international career in banking with such institutions as N.M. Rothschilds and Barclays Bank, commercial firm, and regulatory institutions including the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Airport Authority.

Mr. Kai-man Wong

Director, Victor and William Fung Foundation

 

Mr. Wong is a past and current Independent Non-Executive Director of five listed companies and a retail bank in Hong Kong.  He also serves on the boards of several non-governmental organisations and has served on government advisory committees and statutory bodies in the areas of land, immigration, energy, law-enforcement, education and technology.

Professor Lap Chee Tsui

President, Victor and William Fung Foundation

 

Professor Lap-Chee Tsui is the Founding President of the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences. He is also Director of Qiushi Academy for Advanced Studies and Master of the Residential College of International Campus, Zhejiang University, China, and University of Toronto’s Emeritus University Professor.  He is the 14th Vice Chancellor of The University of Hong Kong and, prior to which, he was Geneticist-in-Chief at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and University Professor at University of Toronto, Canada.
