Local Chapters

The Fung Scholars Nanjing Chapter was established in March 2014. It aims to provide an effective platform for scholars to network, work and make friends with each other. With a focus on “connection and contribution,” the chapter encourages members to make a positive impact in their local communities through events and activities.

Andy YAO Rui

Fung Scholar since 2014. Awarded the Fung Scholarship in 2014. Received a Bachelor’s degree of Management at Nanjing University and worked as a Teaching Assistant for the department of Computer Science of the University. Exchange student at The University of Hong Kong in 2014. Interned in Shanghai Droidhen Co.,Ltd.

Jenny LIANG Ji

Fung Scholar since 2013. Awarded the Fung Scholarship in 2013. Received a Bachelor’s degree in English at Nanjing University. Exchange student at The University of Hong Kong in 2013 and at Georgetown University in 2015. Awarded a Special Prize in National English Contest for College Students in 2013, and a Candidate Prize in Lan-Bridge Translation Competition.

 

Focus: In charge of the administrative issues in Nanjing Chapter.

Junyi WANG

Fung Scholar since 2013. Awarded the Fung Scholarship in 2013. Exchange student at The University of Hong Kong in 2013. Received a Bachelor’s degree of Economics at Nanjing University. Interned at Sealand Securities and Standard Chartered Bank (Nanjing).

 

Focus:Strategic planning, organization of events, and chapter’s finances.

Liz YANG Yi

Fung Scholar since 2013. Awarded the Fung Scholarship in 2013. Exchange student at The University of Hong Kong in autumn 2013. Received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Nanjing University. Interned at Wallstreetcn, Citi bank, etc.

 

Focus: Organizing and coordinating various local chapter activities, including networking events, pre-departure gathering, experience sharing events and cooperation with other social organizations and other FS chapters.

Maggie XU Mengjiao

Fung Scholar since 2012. Awarded the Fung Scholarship in 2012. Exchange student at the University of Hong Kong in 2012. Received a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanjing University. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

 

Focus: Enhancing the influence of FS Nanjing Chapter, strengthening the bonding among local FS and connecting with other local chapters.

Scarlett YANG Yi

Fung Scholar since 2012. Awarded the Li & Fung Scholarship in 2012. Received a master’s degree in Risk and Finance at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Exchange student at the University of Hong Kong in 2012-2013. Have a keen interest and actively engaged in the development of social enterprise and impact investment in mainland China, Hong Kong and UK.

 

Focus: Founder and the 1st Chairwoman of Fung Scholars Nanjing Chapter, being responsible for the chapter’s overall strategic planning, events organization and public relationship management.

 

XU Xin

Fung Scholar since 2013. Awarded the Fung Scholarship in 2013. Exchange student at the Department of Physics, the University of Hong Kong in 2013. Holds a Bachelor Degree in Physics from Nanjing University. Received Ph.D. in Applied Physics at Northwestern University.

 

Focus: Organising various local chapter activities including pre-departure meeting, mentorship training, experiencing sharing and network cooperation with other local chapters.

 

ZHANG Zekun

Fung Scholar since 2013. Awarded the Fung Scholarship in 2013. Received a Master’s degree and Diplome d’Ingénieur at Ecole Polytechnique of France. Exchange student at The University of Hong Kong in 2013.
